It is no surprise that during the past twelve months I have been completely immersed in anything and everything that Freida McFadden writes. Her superpower ability, where I am concerned, is creating a world that is crazier than my own, so I can switch off and get lost in a scenario of quirky characters, mind bending motives, crazy plot twists and lots of “what the F….” moments.

Want To Know A Secret was no exception. At first I felt the pace was a little slower and it wasn’t until around chapter ten that I was completely sucked in… If you struggle I really recommend you keep going… Freida’s chapters are short for a reason, you can do it!

Now here’s the real question… and for anyone that hasn’t read this yet, it is your decision whether to continue reading this review…

Was Freida inspired by Bret Easton Ellis’ American Psycho for this particular novel? Although his work was highly descriptive and much, much longer – I cannot help but see some parallels in the way that the main FMC developed!

Overall, I gave this a good 4 ⭐⭐⭐⭐ rating and highly recommend this read!

I’m now 29 books down the rabbit hole and looking forward to reading The Divorce which is released THIS WEEK! 😁

Drink of choice? Squash, because I’ve literally just woken up and writing this quickly in bed before I forget and start reading something else….😅
